Presentation
Purpose and main contents of the course – How to finance innovation projects? How to attract private investments and / or access EU funds? The course will present examples of funding for innovation projects and how to join and create European partnership networks. The course also includes the presentation of design thinking methodologies for the development of design contents that are more in keeping with the needs of end users.
Recipients
Course objectives – Statutory auditors, assessors, executives and officials of local authorities who want to start up innovative services in their territory but who do not have financial resources and / or specialized skills on the smart city theme.
Delivery mode
Delivery method – The basic course lasts on average 4 hours and is provided to a group of no more than 8 people in order to allow a high level of personalization of content and continuous interaction with and between participants. The dates and times are agreed and tendentially the course is delivered at a location indicated by the local authority.

Description of the distinctive elements – This is a tailor-made course, ie calibrated to the specific needs of the participants with a high level of personalization of the contents. In addition, the contents of the course are particularly aimed at providing an overview of examples of innovative funding for the local authority that wants to experience smart city routes and digital agenda.
Teacher
Presentation of the teacher – Simona Villa, fundraiser, designer, project manager. For more than 10 years (after a long time in local public administrations in management roles), she has been involved in supporting the PA and the Third Sector in the development, enhancement and communication of innovation projects, in particular in the cultural and social sphere. For this reason, she prefers participatory and laboratory planning methods such as design thinking.
