Rimini, March 4, 2024 – The President of TSCAI (The Smart City Association Italy), Raffaele Gareri, enthusiastically participated in this year’s “Cities and Territories Tailored to People” workshop during the Key Energy event held in Rimini on February 29, 2024. The event, organized by LUMI and CTS Key Energy, was moderated by Gian Marco Revel from the Polytechnic University of Marche, who also serves as the Scientific Responsible for Sustainable Cities. The workshop brought together experts and professionals from the field, engaging in discussions about the challenges and opportunities related to the digital transformation of cities.
During his presentation, Gareri emphasized the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to address the complex dynamics of smart cities. He highlighted that active citizen engagement, effective data governance, and the promotion of innovative venture building initiatives are key elements for ensuring sustainable development and harmonious growth within urban communities.
“The cities of the future must be designed with people’s needs in mind,” stated Gareri. “Digital transformation is not just about technology; it primarily concerns the people who live and work in these areas. We must create intelligent ecosystems that cater to everyone’s needs, promoting quality of life, sustainable mobility, and environmental protection.”
Raffaele Gareri’s participation, alongside Matteo Seraceni from Hera Luce and Manuela Ojan from ATM Milano, enriched the debate on smart cities, providing valuable insights for a smarter and more sustainable future. The Key Energy event continues to be a fundamental gathering for stakeholders involved in the transformation of Italian cities.
